Facts about Thames

Thames 

 This week in Kakapo the Rua reading group had to choose a town or city to learn about and I choose Thames.The population of Thames is 7,680 people and the Thames barrier was built in 1974 .Thames is known for its gold mining tunnels. Thames in maori is Hauraki and Thames is apart of the Coromandel .From Kaitaia to Thames it is 5 hours and 58 mins and 425km .Thames is the biggest town in the Coromandel and its is named after the wider locality and also the Thames river in England.Did you now that a part of the lord of the rings filmed in Thames.

chapter 3 A wrinkle in time

A wrinkle in time chapter 3

Last week and this week Kakapo class has been working on chapter three of a wrinkle in time and we have to describe how meg felt about her dad.Meg thought he looked handsome and she did fell happy that he was home.But when he wasn't there Meg and her family felt sad that there dad was gone for a while and he was gone for so long because there dad was a scientist.She also got into fights when people talked about her dad.She felt very sad but she hide it from her family.When someone brang him up she wanted to kill the person that was talking about him.

A wrinkle in time chapter 1

This term kakapo choosed a new novel to study about and its called a wrinkle in time ! The characters names in the novel is Marget meg,Teacher,Kate Murry,Sandy and Dennys ,Charles Wallace and Fortinbras. It was set at a farm,house and school there was also a hurricane were they lived. Something that stood out for me was emotions because she was a little dumb,werid,lonely and scared.

 Today's on chapter 7 had to we had to imagine we are Leslie and think about what advice we would give Janice and this is what i would advice i would you give Janice this advice. She should being a meany and  and  treat others how u would like to be treated. She should also respect Leslie for who she is.
